Meet C.D. Mayfield
CD Mayfield is a lifelong public servant with decades of experience dedicated to fairness, accountability, and equal application of the law. Raised in a military family, he learned early the values of discipline, service, and respect. He later served honorably in the United States Marine Corps, carrying those principles into a long career in law enforcement.
CD spent more than 27 years serving the City of Allen in Collin County in roles ranging from patrol officer to supervisor and investigator. Known for his calm demeanor and sound judgment, he earned multiple professional honors, including Officer of the Year, Investigator of the Year, and Supervisor of the Year. In 2021, he also received an FBI Dallas Division Citation for Special Achievement for his role in a Top 10 international investigation.
Married to his wife, Katie, since 2005, CD is a devoted husband, father, and grandfather. He is an enrolled member of the Cherokee Nation, which is one of three federally recognized Cherokee tribes. Family and heritage play an important role in shaping his values and commitment to service. Family remains central to his life and shapes his belief that courtroom decisions have real consequences for real people. CD believes every person deserves to be treated with dignity and respect, and his goal is to strengthen trust in the justice system by applying the law fairly, consistently, and without favoritism.
